RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Pre-Recruitment.

The break before our recruitment begins, we will release an outline of the events for our recruitment and event dates. We will also open our interest form, which allows you to receive more details and updates on the recruitment events (rooms, times, changes to anything, etc.). Once you fill out the interest form and submit it, our vice president will add you to the mailing list. As it gets closer to recruitment, she will also send a link to a PNM GroupMe so any immediate information can be sent through there. The first week of classes will be used to prepare for the first week of recruitment events and send out more finalized details about the events.

Two weeks.

Two weeks of events hosted by our chapter. The very first event is when our recruitment officially kicks off, and more events follow for two weeks. This is not every day, though- and you do not have to go to every event! Our recruitment usually begins sometime after classes begin. We do not participate in primary recruitment with other Panhellenic sororities, so to join Alpha Omega Epsilon you must attend our events only. However, you are still able to join even if you went through the rush process, but you cannot be an initiated member of another Panhellenic sorority and Alpha Omega Epsilon.

The events.

The events hosted by our chapter carry a purpose: to show you who we are, and what we are about. Every recruitment we host several informational events, which are events where you learn more about our international sorority and our chapter's involvement in the K-State community and Greek life. We also include non-informational events to show you our social side, professional side, and service side. We do this through sisterhood, professional, and philanthropy events. Sisterhood events give you an opportunity to get to know our sisters and see how we interact with each other. Professional events show you our professional side, which can be watching TED talks, critiquing resumes, or working on interview skills. We show you our passion for service through Philanthropy events, which can be an activity we do together to benefit a cause or provide donations for a non-profit.

Preference Night.

Preference night is an invitation-only event. You will be eligible for an invitation back if you attend one informational event and a non-informational event (sisterhood, philanthropy, professional). This is an opportunity to get to know our members on a deeper level and know if sorority life is for you. More details will be given to those invited.

Bid Day!

Bid Day is another invite-only event. The day and time will be given to PNM's ahead of time, but the location and any other information will be provided to those who receive a bid. This is a time to celebrate our newest potential members. We will also be handing out bids to those who receive them ahead of time, as determined by our vice president.
