All of the frequently asked questions in regards to becoming a member of A.O.E will be found here! If you cannot find a certain question, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Vice President and/or Membership Educator!

-
Must be a student at Kansas State University obtaining a bachelor's degree.
-
All majors are accepted, but you must support STEM
-
Have 2.5 GPA
-

How much does it cost?
Active member dues are currently $225 every semester. This includes a $140 local fee, $35 campus Panhellenic fee, and $50 national fee. However, candidates do not pay this full amount the first semester of joining. Candidates pay $100 to cover a shirt, pin, and other necessary costs. Payment plans are offered to every member and candidate, too!
What is the time commitment?
Alpha Omega Epsilon is not a time-consuming sorority. Our chapter has a weekly mandatory chapter meeting and mandatory ceremonies and a retreat every semester. All events are planned ahead of time and dates are announced at the beginning of the semester to allow time to plan. Our sorority values professional and academic excellence, therefore we do not make every event mandatory.
How do I join?!
We host our own recruitment every fall, and sometimes spring! You must go to an information meeting and non-informational event in order to receive a bid. Our recruitment chair wants to make sure every individual interested can make both of those events, so she holds many of them over a span of two to three weeks and we post them on our social media. If you cannot make any or are finding out about us last minute, please email our vice president! We are willing to work with you.
What is candidacy, and what does it look like?
Candidacy is the process in which potential new members learn about our sisterhood, history and traditions. It is a period where candidates will have weekly meetings, interact with active sisters, and join us in a mandatory day retreat. Events are held every week to allow candidates and members to get to know one another, but they are not mandatory.
